4.      All applications for registration must be accompanied by a deposit of 10s., which will be refunded at the end of the season upon the registration card being returned, unless the club has failed to meet its financial and other obligations satisfactorily.

12.    Clubs must appoint their own stewards to assist the officials-in-charge in keeping the ground clear, so as to prevent the general public from crowding too closely on the field of play or otherwise interfering with the games.

13.    Clubs are not permitted to solicit or collect money or money’s worth within the Park or at Park entrances.

14.    Clubs breaking up during the season must return their registration cards forthwith to the Secretary, Parks Department, 161, Corporation Street.  If no application for a pitch is received from a club for six consecutive weeks, the club will be deemed to be broken up, and their registration cancelled.

16th July 1932 – Birmingham News

Children’s Festival
Selly Oak and Bournbrook Fancy Parade
Mile Long Procession

More than 2,000 children were entertained at the annual Selly Oak and Bournbrook Children’s Festival, held in Selly Oak Park on Saturday afternoon.
A procession a mile long, composed of decorated vehicles and hundreds of children, paraded the streets.  Decorations were hung out in both Dawlish Road and Tiverton Road.  After collecting detachments of children from Selly Park Schools, St. Wulstan’s, St. Mary’s, St. Edwards, and Tiverton Road Schools, the procession headed by Elliott’s Works Band, marched down Dawlish Road, Bristol Road, and along Frederick Road to the park. Nearly 200 of the children wore fancy dress.
Fancy Dress Parade
At the park, the afternoon was opened by a fancy dress parade, the judges being Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Brazener, Mr. and Mrs. Newton Hyde, Mr. Wren and Mrs. Rozelaar.  A maypole display by 100 children was given during the afternoon and again in the evening, under the direction of Miss Mills and Miss B. Garrett.
Exhibitions of fancy dancing were also given by girls from St. Wulstan’s School and from St. Mary’s School, as well as the cabaret performance by Miss Betty Fox’s dancing troupe.  Selections were played by the Woodgate Prize Band and by Elliott’s Band.
Games
After the children had been served with tea in the park, a tug-of-war was held between St. Wulstan’s boys and Raddlebarn boys.  Raddlebarn boys won the event, and the Quinton Shield presented to the winners.
Defeating St. Wulstan’s School by 21-3, in the first round of the net ball contest, Selly Park School encountered St. Mary’s team in the final for the Charles Harbun Cup.  Again proving victorious, they made the trophy their own when they won by 24 goals to 10.
During the afternoon, Major Beaumont Thomas, M.P. for Kings Norton, was an interested visitor to the party, which was wound up in the late evening by dancing in the park until dusk.
Fancy Dress Winners
Results of the fancy dress competition were as follows:-
Girls: 1 Edna Bingham, 2 Celie Woods, 3 Doreen Clarke, 4 Beryl Southall, 5 Yvonne Samson, 6 Nellie Milton.
